retreats

Each retreat has its own rhythm, but the foundations stay the same: thoughtful movement, breath, good food, time outdoors, honest conversation and enough space to rest.

You won’t be rushed through a packed schedule or expected to perform your way through the experience.

ubud, bali

April 17-22nd 2027

Five nights at Solana in Ubud, jungle views and open-air ensuites, warm days built around sunrise chanting, yoga and yin. A Balinese purification ceremony, fire ceremony, cacao and sound healing, three massages each — each session thoughtfully facilitated by Ali with some ceremonies held by local priests and healers rather than performed for an audience. Meals are entirely vegetarian, cooked with what's grown down the road, eaten together at Solana's table.

Quiet seating area surrounded by nature at a Sri Lanka retreat venue

sri Lanka

August 22 - 29th 2027

An intimate retreat in the jungle of southern Sri Lanka — a hand-built tropical barn of reclaimed stone and antique timber, a shala in the treetops over rice paddies. The work still goes deep. Here, it's just carried a little lighter — practice in the mornings, adventure built into the rest of the day. Joining me this August.

SUNSHINE COAST IMMERSION

COMING SOON

A weekend on a beautiful property in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, sleeping under a full sky in glamping tents or swags. Firelight, cold mornings, the kind of quiet you don't get at home. No villas, no packed itinerary — just nature, stillness, and space to actually notice where you are.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are retreats for everyone?

Yes — but not because everyone gets the same experience. Some people come for stillness, some for adventure, some because they've hit a wall and need space to think. Whatever brought you here is enough of a reason.

If I go to the same venue twice, will it be the same retreat?

No. Even at a venue I return to, the retreat itself is different every time — different intention, different practices, different people in the room, different energy. You're never getting a repeat.

I've never done yoga before — is that a problem?

No. Every practice is offered with options, and nobody's watching to see if you get it "right." This isn't about arriving with skills — it's about meeting you where you're actually at.

Can I come on my own?

Yes, and most people do. Solo rooms are available if you want your own space; twin rooms are for those bringing a friend or someone they already know, rather than being paired up with a stranger.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is there an application process instead of instant booking?

Because the group makes the retreat. I read every application to make sure it's the right fit — not to gatekeep, but because a small group only works if everyone in it is actually ready for what's on offer. If I don't think it's the right match, I'll be upfront about it and suggest something that is.

What's not included?

Flights, travel insurance, and any accommodation outside the retreat dates. Everything from check-in to check-out is taken care of.

How much is the deposit, and what's the payment process?

A $700 deposit secures your place, with the balance due before the retreat. Payment plans are available for anyone who needs one. Full details are on each retreat's individual page — get in touch if you want to talk it through first.

What should I pack?

A full packing list goes out once you've booked, tailored to that retreat's climate and program — but generally: comfortable clothes, an open mind, and less than you think you need.
